EnviroPackaging stands by our commitment to delivering superior imprints and craftsmanship. With their wealth of experience, our dedicated Art and Print Departments make sure every product leaving our facility features an impeccable appearance.

Our in-house teams exclusively imprint on pre-constructed products. While the manufacturing process may introduce folds and creases, some limitations on artwork printability and available imprint area may apply. Please be aware that the position of artwork on post-printed products might exhibit slight variations due to manual feeding.

Our imprint processes include:

  • Foil hot stamping
  • Flexographic (Flexo) ink
  • Color magic & spot magic heat press
  • Silkscreen

Foil Hot Stamping

Custom hot stamp foil printing metallic printing

An elegant, upscale decoration method, foil hot stamping involves engraving a design into a magnesium plate. By applying heat and pressure, each item is imprinted with the chosen foil colors. This method can be used for:

Hot Stamp Artwork Guidelines

  • A movement of about 1/32” to 1/16” per color is expected.
  • Designs with tighter registration must be pre-approved.
  • More than one spot color imprinting is unavailable on some products.
  • The minimum line thickness requirement is 1 stroke point.
  • Reverse out printing line thickness is 2 stroke points to avoid losing fine details.

Considerations

  • Halftones are not recommended for hot stamp decoration.
  • Artwork with a border, large coverage, and/or fine print is discouraged for quality imprints.
  • Boxed artwork exceeding 5” x 5” requires approval.

Please Note: Due to hot stamping limitations on ribbon, the color chart for this product differs from the standard selection. Please refer to our special color chart for hot stamping on ribbon for details.

Flexographic (Flexo) Imprinting

Flexographic Flexo ink custom printing

The process for Flexographic (Flexo) imprinting involves running products through a flexible photopolymer plate placed on a rotating drum, for high-volume printing. This efficient, cost-effective process is available for various paper and plastic products.

Flexo Artwork Guidelines

  • Colors must be separated by at least 1/2” for color movement, with potential color overlapping.
  • More than one spot color imprinting is unavailable on some products.
  • The minimum line thickness requirement is 1 stroke point.
  • Reverse out printing line thickness is 2 stroke points to retain fine details.

Halftones

  • For optimal results, halftones should range from 20% to 40%.
  • Our standard halftone printing is 35LPI, at a 45-degree angle.
  • Artwork with halftones requires pre-approval by our Art Department.

Considerations

  • Artwork with a border, large coverage, and/or fine print is discouraged for quality imprints.
  • Boxed artwork over 5” x 5” requires approval; please submit it for review before finalizing your order with this artwork type.

Heat Press: Color Magic & Spot Magic

Color Magic and Spot Magic Examples

During this process, your design is printed onto heat transfer material and then heat-pressed directly onto the product. Color Magic employs a four-color printing process for full-color designs, while Spot Magic uses spot Pantone® color inks for artwork with up to two spot colors.

Decoration Method Applications

This versatile and impactful decoration method is available on most non-woven, cotton, and uncoated paper products.

Heat Press Artwork Guidelines

  • Color Magic – For designs with multi-color and close registration; not subject to space requirements.
    • CMYK Process Heat Transfer: Images should be in CMYK at a minimum of 300 dpi and provided at actual size. The minimum line thickness requirement is 4 stroke points.
  • Spot Magic – For vector-based art, Pantone colors are preferred for a more vibrant print.
    • The minimum line thickness requirement is 1 stroke point. In PMS match orders, black and white each count as a match.

Note: For best results, minor adjustments may be needed. They will be noted on your viewing file proof for approval before printing

Silkscreen Printing

Examples of Silkscreen Printing

During silkscreen printing, ink is applied onto a surface through a prepared screen made from a fine mesh for precise and impactful imprints.

Decoration Method Applications

This technique is available on non-woven and cotton products.

Artwork Guidelines

  • Color registration requirements are minimal but must be pre-approved.
  • Some color overlapping may occur, and more than one spot color imprinting is not available on some products.
  • The minimum line thickness requirement is 1.5 stroke points.

Important Silkscreen Considerations:

  • There’s more movement when silkscreen printing on insulated products.
  • Thicker text is recommended for textured products.
  • Artwork with large coverage and/or fine print is not recommended as it may not produce a good quality imprint; please submit for review.
