Custom Printing

EnviroPackaing is committed to high quality imprints and workmanship. Our experienced Art and Print Department teams take pride in ensuring that every product leaving the shop looks excellent!

Please note that our in-house teams only imprint on products which are already constructed. In some cases, folds and creases produced in manufacturing the products result in some restrictions which may impact certain artwork’s printability and available imprint area. Also, artwork position on post-printed products may vary slightly from product to product due to manual feeding.

Our imprint processes:

  • FOIL HOT STAMPING
  • FLEXOGRAPHIC (FLEXO) INK
  • COLOR MAGIC & SPOT MAGIC HEAT PRESS
  • SILKSCREEN

Learn more about each below:

FOIL HOT STAMPING

Custom hot stamp foil printing metallic printing

Hot Stamping is achieved by using engraving a design into a magnesium plate, and then utilizing heat and pressure to imprint each item with the chosen foil colors. This elegant and upscale decoration method is available on most of the following type products:

  • BOXES
  • PAPER
  • PLASTIC
  • RIBBON*

HOT STAMP ARTWORK GUIDELINES
A movement of about 1/32” to 1/16” per color will occur. Designs with tighter registration must be pre-approved. More than 1 spot color imprinting is not available on some products. Minimum requirement for line thickness is 1 stroke point. Reverse out printing line thickness is 2 stroke points to avoid losing fine details.

PLEASE NOTE: Halftones are not recommended for hot stamp decoration, but can be done for certain artwork, upon review and approval by EnviroPackaging’s Art Department. Artwork with a border, large coverage and/or fine print is not recommended as it may not produce a good quality imprint. Boxed artwork exceeding 5” x 5” will need approval. Please submit for review before finalizing an order with this type of artwork.

*NOTE ABOUT RIBBON: Due to the limitations of the process of hot stamping ribbon, the color chart for this product is different from the standard selection below. Please Click Here to review the special color chart for hot stamping on ribbon.

FLEXOGRAPHIC (FLEXO) IMPRINTING

Flexographic Flexo ink custom printing

Flexo ink imprinting is involves running products through a flexible photopolymer plate placed on a rotating drum. This process allows for high volume printing. Flexo printing is efficient and cost-effective, and is available on most of the following type products:

  • PAPER
  • PLASTIC

FLEXO ARTWORK GUIDELINES
Colors must be separated by at least 1/2” to allow for color movement. Please note that some color overlapping may occur. More than 1 spot color imprinting is not available on some products. Minimum requirement for line thickness is 1 stroke point. Reverse out printing line thickness is 2 stroke points to avoid losing fine details.

HALFTONES – For best results, halftones should range from 20% to 40%. Our standard halftone printing is 35LPI, at a 45 degree angle. Artwork containing halftones must be pre-approved by EnviroPackaging’s Art Department.

PLEASE NOTE: Artwork with a border, large coverage and/or fine print is not recommended as it may not produce a good quality imprint. Boxed artwork exceeding 5″x5″ will need approval. Please submit for review before finalizing an order with this type of artwork.

HEAT PRESS: COLOR MAGIC & SPOT MAGIC

Color Magic and Spot Magic Examples

Your design is printed onto a heat transfer material, then heat pressed onto the product. Color Magic is a four color printing process for full-color designs, and Spot Magic prints with spot Pantone® color inks for artwork with up to two spot colors.

This versatile and full-impact decoration method is available on most:

  • NON-WOVEN
  • COTTON
  • UN-COATED PAPER

ARTWORK GUIDELINES

Color Magic is not subject to space requirements and is therefore ideal for designs requiring multi-color and close registration.

CMYK Process Heat Transfer: Images should be in CMYK at a minimum of 300 dpi and provided at actual size. Minimum requirement for line thickness is 4 stroke points.

Pantone® Match Heat Transfer: For vector based art, Pantone® colors are preferred and will render a more vibrant print. Minimum requirement for line thickness is 1 stroke point. With PMS match orders, the colors Black and White are each considered a match.

PLEASE NOTE: For best results, some minor adjustments may be required. These minor adjustments will be noted on your viewing file proof for approval before printing.

SILKSCREEN

Silkscreen Samples

Silkscreen printing is done by applying ink onto a surface through a prepared screen made from a fine mesh.

This decoration method is available on the following type of products:

  • NON-WOVEN
  • COTTON

ARTWORK GUIDELINES

Color registration requirements are minimal, but do exist and must be pre-approved. Please note that some color over-lapping may still occur. More than 1 spot color imprinting is not available on some products. Minimum requirement for line thickness is 1.5 stroke points.

PLEASE NOTE: There is more movement when Silk Screening on insulated products. Thicker text is recommended for textured products. Artwork with large coverage and/or fine print is not recommended as it may not produce a good quality imprint. Please submit for review.
